Croton Falls is located in the town of North Salem in the most northeast part of Westchester County, bordering Putnam County to the north and east town line of Connecticut. The Croton Falls Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of North Salem, New York and surrounding communities via the Harlem Line.
The Town of North Salem includes the hamlets of Purdys, North Salem, Croton Falls, and Salem Center. Students who live in Croton Falls attend The North Salem Central School District, which also incorporates parts of the towns of Brewester and Carmel as well as some Somers residents.
